The 3rd and final inductee of the Bullspike Radio Hall Of Fame Class Of 2015 is as metal as he is funny. From right across the Hudson, comedian and co-host of VH1 Classic’s That Metal Show, Don Jamieson.
He’s accomplished so much such as released 2 successful comedy albums and has even received an Emmy Award for his work on HBO’s “Inside The NFL” alongside his comedy partner Jim Florentine. He himself is even a member of the unique acoustic/death metal band Gunfire-N-Sodomy.
Most importantly, he welcomed Bullspike Radio with open arms 5 years ago when we launched in 2010 and has been a good friend since. It is because of all of this and more that we induct Don Jamieson into the Bullspike Radio Hall Of Fame Class Of 2015.
The 2nd inductee of the Bullspike Radio Hall Of Fame Class Of 2015 are one of the heaviest bands from the city that never sleeps. “IKILLYA are a Rockstar Mayhem mainstage ready band”
– Shawn Bosler of Decibel Magazine
They have shared the same stage with Whiplash and Battlecross. They’ve even toured in the United Kingdom.

We at Bullspike Radio are proud to announce that Massachusetts’ female fronted Mongrel is the next inductee to the Bullspike Radio Hall of Fame.
Mongrel first burst upon the scene in 2003 with a punk rock sound with an edge. They were immediately greeted by fans all over for their unique sound and dedication to the music. Like many local bands there has been line up changes and tweaks to their sound but their passion for the music never died.
They now are poised and ready for the big time with a line up that’s been together for a few years now. And the band has truly evolved and you can hear it it in their latest EP Evolution and their signing to Unable Records. They have fine tuned their sound and are reaching more audiences worldwide with it.
It is for their dedication and determination to continue to be one of the best bands in the world of rock and metal that we are inducting Mongrel into the Bullspike a Radio Hall of Fame Class of 2014.
The second inductee to the 2014 Class of the Bullspike Radio Hall Of Fame is A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH. Founded by Type O Negative & Life of Agony drummer Sal Abruscato in 2009, A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH, or APHND for short, brings a familiar doom and gloom sound together with a metal edge.
Even though APHND‘s founding father is known in the metal world, we all know when you start a new project you are indeed starting over. However in this case they have been greatly accepted in a fairly short time. Their debut record “And Hell Will Follow Me” was ranked the No. 5 album of 2011 by Revolver Magazine and their 2013 release “Lay My Soul to Waste” was so well received it allowed them to join a tour featuring Danzig, Butcher Babies and Texas Hippie Coalition. “Lay My Soul to Waste” was even a featured Pick of the Week by Don Jamieson on VH1 Classic‘s That Metal Show.
A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH is (currently) comprised of:
- Sal Abruscato – lead vocals, guitar
- Matt Brown – guitar, backing vocals
- Johnny Kelly – drums
- Eric Morgan – bass guitar
- Eddie Heedles – guitar
It is for all these reasons and more that A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH is the second inductee to the Bullspike Radio Hall Of Fame Class of 2014.
Who better to be the first inductee to the 2014 Class of the Bullspike Radio Hall Of Fame than Jennifer “JennCity” Arroyo. When it comes to people who exude the rock and metal lifestyle in everything they do, JennCity is in the top of the list. Never letting anything come between her and her love of music.
The world has gotten to know JennCity from her time in Kittie as well as being the most badass and metal houseguest the the CBS hit show Big Brother Season 14. She proved the doubters wrong and showed her prowess by finishing in the final 5.
Those of us here in the NYC area know her best as a member of Suicide City and for being one of the top DJs for shows here. If you’re attending a local show and JennCity is your DJ between sets then you know you are in for a night of non stop kick ass rock and metal.
And she’s not even close to done yet. After many years of blood, sweat, and tears JennCity has released her debut album Out IV Blood to the world. A pure effort of everything she is put into some kick ass tunes.
It is for all these reasons and more that Jennifer “JennCity” Arroyo is the first inductee to the Bullspike Radio Hall Of Fame Class of 2014.
