CREED Frontman SCOTT STAPP Is Broke

Creed frontman Scott Stapp says he’s looking for a lawyer to help him fight what he calls a string of “slanderous, libellous accusations.”

In a self-shot video uploaded to Creed’s Facebook page today, a disheartened Stapp tells fans how he spent weeks living in his car after his bank accounts were “frozen” by the American Internal Revenue Service (IRS). He also claims his online banking accounts were hacked.

The 15-minute clip was recorded in a hotel room where Stapp, 41, says he’s been living.

Insisting that he remains sober and clean, Stapp says: “I’m sure you’ve heard the many rumours and slanderous, libellous accusations over the last few weeks.

“I’m under some kind of vicious attack, I still haven’t figured out the reasons why. There are people who have taken advantage and stolen money from me. They are trying to discredit and slander me. I have even been threatened.

“Right now I’m living in a Holiday Inn, by the grace of God. There’s been a couple of weeks where I had to sleep in my truck. I had no money for gas or food.

“I went two days without eating and ended up in an emergency room. When I called the bank to see what happened to the funds I had remaining in the bank, someone had used my information and changed my online passwords to my bank accounts and transferred all the money out my bank accounts so I had nothing.

“My civil rights have been violated. I’m gonna expose and I’m gonna fight every single individual that is responsible for this. Right now I’m looking for an honest, good attorney that’s ready to fight and take it all the way to the top.”

The Miami Herald this week reported Stapp’s wife Jaclyn had filed for divorce.

In April, Stapp opened up on his battle with drink and drugs and said it took a near death experience for him to change his ways.

Meanwhile, Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti told TeamRock this month that Creed was the furthest thing from his mind and that he hand’t spoken to Stapp in years.

And some people are crying and it’s definitely like going to a brand new level for sure that we’ve never had before.”

IN THIS MOMENT last year inked a new deal with Atlantic Records, a division of Warner Music Group, following the completion of its contract with Century Media Records.

IN THIS MOMENT released all four of its previous studio efforts through Century Media, including “Blood”.

VENOM To Release ‘From The Very Depths’ Album In January

VENOM To Release 'From The Very Depths' Album In JanuaryBritish black metal pioneers VENOM will release their new studio album, “From The Very Depths”, on January 27, 2015 via Spinefarm. The effort will be made via CD and download, with a double vinyl format to follow shortly after.

Commented VENOM bassist/vocalist Conrad “Cronos” Lant: “This album is perfect.

“All three members are totally over-the-top confident with the new songs and the production.

“We had a great atmosphere in the studio while we were recording. Danté created pure thunder from his drums, while Rage tears the flesh off your face with his riffs, making everything fall into place so well.

“It’s a strong release and really shows the band maturing into an unstoppable force of pure black metal.

“We can’t wait to play the new songs live for the Legions… Hell yeah!”

Added VENOM drummer Danny “Danté” Needham: “The new songs are sounding amazing; the whole album has a great feel.

“I’d say the strength of this band comes from our determination to create great music, and that comes from forward thinking, new ideas and fresh challenges.”

VENOM‘s last studio album, “Fallen Angels”, was released in November 2011 via Spinefarm.

Now CHRIS BRODERICK Of MEGADETH Has Quit

Chris BroderickChris Broderick’s official statement:

Due to artistic and musical differences, it is with great reluctance that I announce my departure from Megadeth to pursue my own musical direction. I want all of you to know how much I appreciate the amount that you the fans have accepted and respected me as a member of Megadeth for the last seven years, but it is time for me to move on. I wish Dave and everyone in Megadeth all the best. I am working on a few things of my own and hope that when they come out, you will all dig it.

Chris Broderick (guitarist) and Shawn Drover (drummer) quit the band today (November 25).

Drummer SHAWN DROVER Quits MEGADETH

Drummer SHAWN DROVER Quits MEGADETHMEGADETH drummer Shawn Drover has released the following statement:

“After 10 years, I have decided to quit MEGADETH to pursue my own musical interests.

“I want to thank Dave Mustaine and the entire MEGADETH family, as well as thanking all the amazing MEGADETH fans around the world!!! I truly appreciate all of you.

“Stay tuned for info on my next musical journey.”

During a January 2012 interview with Legendary Rock Interviews, Drover was asked to recount the very unusual story of how he joined MEGADETH. “It was 2004 and my brother Glen was in the band as their guitar player,” Shawn said. “They were in rehearsals for their tour and I was in contact with him every day and checking on him and stuff and seeing how things were going.

“The situation just came up where they didn’t want Nick [Menza, former drummer] in the band anymore, so I came home and my brother got hold of me and said, You better sit down.’ And I was like, ‘Why? What’s going on?’ And Glen was like, ‘Well, they want you on the next plane to come out here.’ [laughs] This was six days before the first day of the tour, so to be honest with you, that was quite a shock, you know, and I was just like, ‘Jesus, man,’ because I was well aware of when the tour was starting. So I called my wife and filled her in real quick and I was on a plane bound for Arizona a few hours later to rehearse with the band. We rehearsed for four days, travelled the fifth day, and the sixth day was the first show of the tour.

“It was quite a daunting task, but looking back now, I probably wouldn’t want to do it any other way. It was pretty cool and I really didn’t have time to freak out or be nervous or anything like that. I was so focused on learning the songs that I didn’t know yet, they had just put out ‘The System Has Failed’ and I hadn’t heard a note of it at all because it was just released. I tried to learn and cram as much material as I could in those four days of rehearsal.

“The first show was in front of thousands of kids and was off the hook; it was a great show. It’s funny, because for some reason, the barricades weren’t up at that venue and the kids were jumping all over the stage and going crazy. I guess nobody remembered to, or whatever, so it turned into an old-school MEGADETH thrash show with kids stagediving and the whole bit, so I thought that was how it was going to be all the time, which was fine by me, you know, because I am definitely from that era. [laughs] Come to find out someone messed up and everyone was like, ‘What happened to the barricade?’ and I was like, ‘Oh, OK….’ [laughs] It was pretty funny and I have a lot of fond memories of that time. It was nerve-wracking, of course, but it was so exciting and I was just so focused on learning that it kind of all worked out.”

MEGADETH‘s latest album, 2013’s “Super Collider”, arrived in stores via mainman Dave Mustaine‘s new label, Tradecraft, distributed by Universal Music Enterprises (UMe).

REVOLUTION SAINTS Featuring JOURNEY, NIGHT RANGER, Ex-WHITESNAKE/DIO Members Debut Album Details

revolutionsaintscd2014

Deen Castronovo (JOURNEY, OZZY OSBOURNE, BAD ENGLISH, HARDLINE), Jack Blades (NIGHT RANGER, DAMN YANKEES, SHAW/BLADES) and Doug Aldrich (WHITESNAKE, DIO, BURNING RAIN) have joined forces in REVOLUTION SAINTS, a new project which recently completed recording its self-titled debut album for a February 24, 2015 release via Frontiers. The CD, which was produced by Alessandro Del Vecchio (HARDLINE), features Castronovo on lead vocals and drums, Blades on bass and vocals, and Aldrich on guitar.

Already well known for his drum talents for his work with JOURNEY, BAD ENGLISH and more, Deen‘s excellent vocal talents are also in the spotlight on the REVOLUTION SAINTS release. On bass (and co-lead vocals on a few tracks), Blades is well known for his melodic-yet-hard-rocking approach to songwriting and playing via multiple classic albums by his main band NIGHT RANGER, as well as with the DAMN YANKEES and the SHAW/BLADES releases. On guitar, Aldrich was excited to lend his fiery blues guitar attack to such a unique and melodic band. Doug, who recently left WHITESNAKE after a fruitful 12-year run, has a deep pedigree and is one of today’s most respected guitarists, having previously played with DIO.

You can tell by the name (and the names involved) that this is not going to be your average rock ‘n’ roll album. It is a record that brings back the classic melodic rock style to where it should be: inspiring, uplifting vocals, soaring melodies and musicianship to die for. Or more simply, it is completely badass.

The project was initially the vision of Frontiers president Serafino Perugino, who for years had hoped to work on a project where Deen would be the lead vocalist. Having previously worked with all three artists on different projects on Frontiers, getting Deen, Jack and Doug together was a dream come true for the president of the label. With production overseen by in-house Frontiers man Del Vecchio (who also contributed to the songwriting and played keyboards on the album), the recording process happened in Portland, Oregon during the summer of 2014.

REVOLUTION SAINTS‘ music is played with a heart and soul and that highlights the passion and the enthusiasm of three of the best rock and all-around musicians in the game today.

REVOLUTION SAINTS is:

Deen Castronovo: lead vocals, drums
Jack Blades: bass, vocals on “Turn Back Time” and “Way To The Sun”
